BoothPimps Showcases During SXSW 2013
Kyle Berg and the rest of the BoothPimps rocked out Austin, TX for two-days over SXSW 2013. Suite 101 on Tuesday, March 12th and Hudson on 5th on Wednesday, March 12th were ridiculous good times with performances from various artists including members of the BoothPimps and The Critical Beatdown Collective. The two day party culminated in the announcement of the newest member of the Booth pimps, Austin's legendary DJ Boombai.

Houston Press Artopia, Houston, TX (01/29/2011)
On Saturday, January 27th, 2011 one of the most anticipated events of the year in Houston announced that "Tickets were Sold Out!" All streets leading up to the 2nd Annual Houston Press "ARTOPIA" event were slammed with patrons waiting to get in. The main attraction each year at Artopia is the unique collaboration of Houston's Best Music, Fashion & Art. There is definitely something to be said when the line leading in to Winter Street Studios at Artopia rivals the attendance number & level of anticipation as a concert.
Once inside, patrons were glad to know this was not a typical "art gallery" opening. The planners of Artopia perfectly matched the front room with walls of vibrant art and a fashion show hosted by DJ Kyle Berg. If first impressions are everything, then this clearly set the tone for an amazing night. More walls of art were complimented with Houston's top musicians and performance artists throughout the venue.
In the last half hour of the event, the crowd anxiously converged around the main stage as DJ Kyle Berg and Coronation Vintage did their fashion rendition of the Black Swan…ending the event with a brilliant Bang!
In the words of Ron Burgandy, It was "Kind of a Big Deal!"

(Excerpt from Chris Apollo Lynn - Republic of Austin) For me, what was interesting was how each city had its own distinct style. Edgier and a little more innovative, Austin is definitely a refined taste. Dallas has a more hip-hop feel. San Antonio is more into the clubby bangers. And Houston, well, Houston made me want to cry–until DJ Kyle Berg performed. As you'll see in the videos, below, Kyle Berg is a true turntablist. Whether it was mashing up Janis Joplin with some crazy-a hip-hop beats or playing dueling turntables, his set was art that made all the judges want to get up and dance. (Excerpt from DJ Riddler.com) Kyle Berg – The week prior to the (Red Bull Thre3style) battle I saw Kyle at Winter Music Conference down in Miami. I asked him if he was ready for the DJ battle. Well he sure was. He came prepared. Starting off with the Pink Panther! BALLSY! He played a WIDE range of music going from Queen to Afrojack. Rock to Electro. Hip-Hop to Pop. In my opinion, he had the Smoothest transitions of the entire evening. His set was obviously somewhat planned but that was ok. He executed very well. He has the crowd dancing and rocking. He looked like he was having a lot of fun and for the judges we had fun as well. He didn't even wait for his time limit to run out and ended with a bang and had the crowd roar for him.
